One of the newest additions to the German manufacturer’s range of commercial vehicles, the Antos comes in the form of either a platform truck or as a tractor unit. Weights for the Antos start at 18 tonnes, going up to a heftier 44 tonnes for the larger models, while performance is pretty good too, with engines producing a maximum of over 500bhp, all of which have six cylinders.
Despite their power and size, Antos trucks tend to be pretty economical. Each truck in the range, irrespective of size, is compliant with Euro VI emission standards. Meanwhile, there are six different cab types to choose from for different types of job, plus there are several different engines to choose from for each sub-range of Antos truck.
Find out more about the Antos’ technical specs as well as what the experts from Truck Locator think about it.

Each engine meets Euro VI standards, although they vary greatly in terms of power output. The smallest engine for the Antos is 235bhp for the 1824 to a whopping 625bhp for the 2463, that being for a 44-tonne truck, all for the new models due out this year.
The older versions of the Antos, produced back in 2012 when the range was first introduced, are slightly less powerful but all are compliant with Euro VI and have sufficient power to cope with even a full payload in tricky driving conditions.
There are three cab choices in the Antos range, with each choice coming with two different axle widths suited for larger or smaller trucks. CompactSpace cabs are smaller but make good use of their space; these cabs are ideally suited for vehicle transportation.
ClassicSpace cabs, coming as S-Cabs and M-Cabs, are a larger and have plenty of storage space, not to mention ergonomic dashboards. S-Cabs are smaller, while M-Cabs are the largest available and are ideal as crew cabs.
Overall, the Antos range has been pretty well-received by drivers, although an update to the range of trucks suggests that all isn’t well with the original models.
The Antos is clean, functional and economical, while the range is also suited for large jobs, especially those involving trips to different countries.
