Timber trucks are built for the industry they serve, and many have trailers for stacking. There are also self-loading models that reduce the need for some other equipment at worksites.
Read More (Timber Trucks)The logging industry requires quite a few unique tools and vehicles that simply aren’t found in many other settings. One example is the timber truck (sometimes called a logging truck), which is specifically designed to haul heavy tree trunks and lumber to and from worksites. Many timber trucks have trailers that are essentially stake trucks without the horizontal bars that allow for stacking, and there are self-loading trucks that can help minimise clutter out in the field by replacing other pieces of equipment.
Heavy-duty timber carrier trucks are configured to haul logs, and some of them come with self-loading implements, as well. You’ll also find a few medium-duty timber trucks on the market. Timber truck manufacturers include DAF, MAN, Mitsubishi Fuso, Scania, and Volvo.
