Practical, reliable, with truly superior build quality, the LF already has a low chassis weight for the highest payloads in its class. It boasts outstanding manoeuvrability with its small turning circle, maximum responsiveness with an enhanced 140-280 bhp engine performance, and even better driveability thanks to more torque at low revs and optimised gearboxes, now with AS-Tronic automated versions throughout. In short, the LF Series is designed to stay in the green.
The LF Series’ new FR and GR engine variants now come with larger engine capacities in all versions, which has resulted in up to 20% more power and torque whilst reducing fuel consumption.
Not only that, the comapny incorporated DAF’s new SCR technology which complies with current Euro 4 emissions legislation. Through precisely timing fuel injection to burn fuel more efficiently, SCR improves fuel economy and the class-leading performance of the engine. It’s also very low maintenance, with extended oil drain intervals of up to 55,000km.
So much for content. What about style?
Newly re-designed exterior styling incorporates a more pronounced upper and lower grill and optional cat’s-eye combi lights, giving the LF Series a more modern, dynamic look. With new streamlined mirrors that provide a larger field of vision, the LF Series can sit proudly alongside DAF’s latest CF and XF ranges.
The LF Series’ cab has always been an ergonomic place to work, with fully adjustable seats, logically positioned easy-reach controls and a dashboard that would look perfectly at home in a luxury car.
